Butterfly Pavilion was primarily an exploration of using parametrically controlled variations of simple geometry to develop occupiable spaces. For our base geometry, we used sections cutting through a cone to generate a hyperbola. Through simple manipulations such as rotations and polar arrays, we transformed our base geometry into a variable form that responds to different inputs.
